    This Privacy Policy explains how imagetobase64.co ("we," "us," or "the Site") handles information when you use our free online image-to-Base64 conversion tool and related pages. We built this tool to run entirely in your browser, so we go into some detail below about exactly what that means for your data.     We do not require an account to use our converter, and we do not ask you to submit personal information to use the tool.     Our image-to-Base64 converter runs entirely client-side, using JavaScript in your own browser. When you select or drop an image into the tool, it is read and encoded locally on your device using the browser's built-in FileReader API. The image file is never uploaded, transmitted, or sent to our servers or to any third party, and we never see, store, or have access to the images you convert.

    This also means that if you close the browser tab without saving your output, the converted data is gone — we retain no copy on our end, because none is ever created outside your own browser session.

    3. Cookies and similar technologies

    Cookies are small text files stored on your device that help websites function and remember information about your visit. We use, and permit certain third parties to use, cookies and similar technologies (such as web beacons and local storage) for the following purposes:
